Privacy Policy
BondForge helps you build and maintain your professional network. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. In short: your data is yours, we don't sell it, and you can export or delete it at any time.
What we collect
- Account information: your name, email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your password itself).
- What you put into BondForge: your profile (headline, goals, resume or LinkedIn text), the contacts you add, notes and interactions you log, drafts, plans, files you upload, and your conversations with Mark.
- Security and usage records: sign-in sessions (browser and IP address), a log of security events such as password changes, and a daily count of messages sent to Mark.
We use a single cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To run BondForge for you: planning your week, drafting messages, scoring your presence and network.
- To keep your account secure and to send account emails (confirmations, password resets, security notices). We don't send marketing emails.
- To keep the service healthy, for example limiting abuse and fixing bugs.
Who processes your data
- Anthropic provides the AI model behind Mark. When you chat with Mark or ask for a draft, the relevant context (your message, profile and the contacts involved) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the reply. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, API data isn't used to train their models.
- Hosting: BondForge runs on servers in the United States (Akamai/Linode).
- Email delivery: account emails are sent through our email provider.
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. Each account's data is stored in its own isolated database, and other users can never see it.
Information about other people
Your network includes information about other people. Only add information you're entitled to use, and use BondForge to build genuine relationships. Contacts' information is used only to help you, and is never shared with anyone else or contacted by us. BondForge never sends messages on your behalf.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is open. You can export everything (Settings › Data) and delete your account (Settings › Account) at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your data from our live systems right away, and from our backups within 14 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sessions can be reviewed and signed out from Settings › Account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect yours, and we'll tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data yourself in the app. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights. To exercise them, contact us.
Children
BondForge is for professionals and isn't intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
